- All,
- I just installed a GVP 2meg Spectrum board in a friends A2000. He has an 030
- 33mhz Derringer accelerator with 4megs 32 bit ram and a Microbotics 8 up board
- with 8 megs 16bit ram. At first I thought the Spectrum board was bad since
- I couldn't see any of the spectrum screen modes after installing the
- cybergraphics software. Only when I swapped the position of the 8up board with
- the Spectrum did I get the new graphics modes but now I don't see the 8 megs
- of ram on the 8-up board. I seem to remember that the A2000 can only see 8megs
- of ram on the zorro II bus. I guess when the 8 up board is first (closest to
- the power supply) the Spectrum board with its 2megs of ram (putting the total
- at 10megs + 1meg of chip is beyond what is allowed so it doesn't work. When I
- reverse the boards the 8-up doesn't show up for the same reason. I can take 2
- megs off the 8-up board (putting the total at 6 for the board) but I don't
- have a manual showing me how to set the 8-up jumpers for 6megs of ram. Could
- anyone help me with this dilema? Thanks in advance.
